Receiving support

St. Petersburg Christian University
Ksenia Rybakova, Student in the Bachelor of Youth/Pastoral Ministry Program

I was born in Magadan Russia in 1981. I made a profession of faith in 1990 or 1991 with my mother. In 1992 my mom became the pastor of a church. In 1995 I was baptized. From a very early age, I have been involved in ministry

As far as my calling to be a youth leader, I would like to more competent in my ministry. In sermons as well as spiritual mentorship it is indispensable to have a deep understanding of the Bible, and this can only be gained at a Christian academic institution.

I consider that a person without the necessary education should not be teaching others, especially not from the pulpit. I myself would not resolve to teach or preach without the store of knoweldge that SPbCU is giving me. Moreover, this education will help me to better know God's will and to be a higher quality and better dedicated servant of Jesus Christ.

From 2001 to 2004 I worked in Christian television, first as an administrator, then I made my own programs featuring young Christian musicians.
From 2004 to 2006 I worked with the most severely handicapped children in the city and even opened a charitable organization.

This year God showed me definitively where my place is and what my ministry should be about. Since God had helped me to gather a really great team there I was able to leave the charitable organization and completely devote myself to ministry. Another important step in my life was enrolling at SPbCU, as was also the starting of an international youth movement.

Since March 2006 I have been a leader in an international youth movement. At in the present there are about 10 to 15 churches which participate movement and this number is steadily growing. God has given me a crack team of ministers and a clear vision.
