Project "Soltsi 2008"
A group of SPbCU students have already traveled twice on missionary trips to the city of Soltsi in the Novgorod Oblast, once in 2006 for 10 days and once in 2007 for 3 days.
At the time of the first trip, the group helped in remodeling a rehabilitation center, did some street evangelization, visited a shelter in the town of Vibiti, participated in church services, provided game programs and Bible studies for local children, and also provided a 3-day camp in Vibiti.
Practically every evening there were informal conversations, which encouraged the youthful believers and helped unbelievers get to know about Christ and become friends with Christians.
During the second trip, the group produced two youth events (showing and discussing the film "A Banana Party") and visited the shelter and the rehab center in Vibiti. Our students received an invitation to come from a church of Evangelical Christian Baptists in the city of Dno in the Pskovskaya Oblast, where there is also a great need for such missionary trips.
Description of the Project "Soltsi 2008"
1.Provision of an evening party for the church and non-Christian youth.
2.Participation in the church worship service.
3.Provision of a Christian children's camp (3 days long).
4.Evangelization and informal conversations with the local young people.
5.A visit to the shelter in Vibiti.
6.A trip to the city of Dno: evangelization and an evening for the youth.
The trip will take 6 days. Participants will consist of 6-10 people.
