Nina Astrom, Eurovision contestant, sings within SPCU walls

SPCU and Campus Club were privileged to have a distinguished Christian singer visit and perform. Sunday night, October 21, Nina Astrom took part in one of Campus Club’s evening concerts.

Campus Club has been gathering in SPCU’s assembly hall for over a year now. This youth club is out there to reach non-Christians. Throughout their programs, talk shows, humor contests, Christian concerts, and fellowship time are included.

This Sunday, Campus Club visitors were privileged to hear the lyrical music of Nina Astrom. Of pop-folk style music, Nina has been in the music industry since 1991, when her first album was released. Of Finnish origin herself, Nina has worked in various countries that number around to 20. In the 2000s, Nina has performed in various prisons (mainly in Russia and Ukraine).

In 2000, Nina Astrom represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest. She won the Finnish selection with her song “A Little Bit”, and in May 2000, she performed with it in Stockholm.

SPCU was privileged to accommodate such a talented and God-loving musician as Nina Astrom.
