Return of old friends
St. Petersburg Christian University is the result of a collective effort of a huge number of believers. A lot of people from different countries took part in the foundation of the University, its formation, financing and much more. For example, in the period from 2000 to 2002, several hundred volunteers from the United States and Canada participated in the reconstruction of the newly acquired buildings at the University on Narvsky prospect.
These people came in their spare time and at their own expense, to participate in the construction industry. Some were engaged in concrete work, laying tiles, plasterboard partitions erected, performed work on the electrical and plumbing, and doing landscaping. Now, almost 10 years later, some of these people returned to St. Petersburg to see the fruits of their labors to enjoy what God has done in the university during this time.
In the photo (third from right), our old friend Bert Hansen and his wife and friends during a visit to St. Petersburg Christian University. Ten years ago, Bert was one of the volunteer builders. During a tour of the university Bert said to his friends: "Here are the tiles I laid with my hands ...".
We are thankful to all the selfless people, without which the existence of the university in its current form would be impossible.
