Beginning of 2009-2010 Academic Year

SPbCU community, along with its students, greeted the new 2009-2010 academic year as the Assembly Hall.

It was pleasant to meet on a sunny, warm day in prayer to God for the upcoming year.

Moreover, it was special, because in 2010, SPbCU will be celebrating its 20th year anniversary.

All of the faculty and staff, along with the old and incoming students happily welcomed back the Rector, Alexander Negrov, who has returned to his post after a sabbatical year.

It was pleasant to see the students back from all over the country and neighboring countries. Some of them shared their thoughts.

Elena Gavrilova from Kaliningrad

"God has told me long ago that I needed theological education, but where in particular, I did not know. My friend studied in St. Petersburg with Wycliffe Missions. His partnership with SPbCU helped me get information about where I should study. On SPbCU's website, my pastor and I chose which major would be best for my theological education and here I am. My future with the Lord I see in missionary work and really hope that God will bless my education."

 IlyaVisotskiy from Tashkent, Uzbekistan

"At SPbCU I chose you ministry as my major because I want to server young people. I have many interests and one of them is rock music. I decided to receive my education at this Christian University because it gives the best education among the former Soviet states. Moreover, I am not the first from my family to study at this university. My father got his Master's degree here. So, we are a dynasty of SPbCU students."
