A Meeting with Sterling College

Dr. Henry Lederle, who is a Professor of Religion and Philosophy and Campus Chaplain at Sterling College in Sterling, KS, has been a guest on SPbCU's campus on May 27-31.

Dr. Lederle is a Th.D. in Pneumatology from the University of South Africa in Pretoria (1985).

He also serves as the coordinator for short-term intercultural visits at Sterling.

This program provides students with an opportunity to experience a foreign culture while being involved in a social project at a local Christian community.

On May 29 Dr Lederle met with SPBCU Rector Dr Negrov and the new International Program Director Mr Kozin.

Possibilities for cooperation between our two schools were discussed in that meeting. SPbCU extended an invitation to Sterling's intercultural program to run on our campus in the Summer of 2009.
Dr Lederle is accompanied by his wife Fran Archer and by Mr Jordan Miller, one of his students. Prior to St Petersburg the team has already visited Osijek in Croatia and will continue all the way to China before the new school year begins.

We wish them all a safe and productive journey. We also look forward to seeing them and the Sterling students back in St Petersburg next summer!
