National Day of Morning Prayer

On March 18th, representatives of various evangelical churches of Russia, of the administration of the President of Russia Federation, and of various political and social organizations of Russia, including SPbCU, came together for participation in the 8th National Day of Morning Prayer.

National Morning Prayer is a social and civil event which is held by evangelical churches of Russia. Participants gather to pray for the Russian people, for the government, for peace and for the development of our country.

Short speeches were presented by: the President of the Russian Union of Adventist Churches, Pastor V.D. Stolar; the Chairman of the Russian Union of Baptist Churches, Y.K. Sipko; the Chairman of the Russian Union of Christians of Evangelical Faith, S.V. Ruahovsky; and by Bishop of the Russian Church of Christians of Evangelical Faith, P.N. Ockara.

Pastor P.B. Konovalchik and Pastor V.V. Vitko led in prayer. At the end of the meeting, special awards and diplomas were presented for faithfulness in their calling, for contributions in interconfessional relations, and for contributions in the development of the awareness of unity in Christ.

Rector, A.I. Negrov, and Pro-rector, I.M. Savich, represented SPbCU in this National Prayer Morning.
