SPbCU participated in the ECETE meetings

SPbCU' rector, Dr. Alexander Negrov, has attended participated at the ICETE Leaders Colloquium IV last week in Sopron, Hungary, 3-5 October and also attended the ICETE International Consultation (during 5-9 October 2009). The 2009 ICETE Consultation Theme was - "Energizing Community: Theological Education's Relational Mandate."

There were about 190 participants from 38 different countries, representing all of the ICETE-member associations, and most of ICETE's partners, associates and affiliates.

Satellite Session in Vladikavkaz

From the 14th to the 25th of September, another session of the correspondence program of the Bachelors of Churhc ministry was held in Vladikavkaz, which was possible with the partnership of SPbCU and the Christian Baptist Church "Word of Christ".

“Freedom of Consciousness and Religion: Legal Aspects” – a conference held in St. Petersburg

During September 25th and 26th, a theoretical and practical conference titled "Freedom of Concsiousness and Religion: Legal Aspects" was held in St. Petersburg. It was composed of 70 people who represented 15 cities from 10 regions of Russia, Belorussia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. Academics, religious studies specialists, lawyers, and representatives of religious unions of different confessions all took part in the conference.

Interview with an alumnus of SPbCU and missionary from Germany: Jakob Kroeker

During several days, St. Petersburg Christian University hosted guests from mission "Light to the East". Amongst them was an alumnus of the Bachelor's of Theology program of the year of 1997: Jakob Kroeker. He spoke of what his studies at SPbCU and time spent in St. Petersburg meant to him.
