An Evangelical Conference

An evangelical conference was held on the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea at St. Petersburg Christian University.

The diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea were established in 1990. Over the past 20 years, Russian-Korean communication rapidly spread to essentially all of the relevant areas and have further developed. This includes the religious area, were a significant number of Korean missionaries have been working in the field of God on the territory of Russia. With regard to the development of the Christian religion, the Republic of Korea is a phenomenon.

In the earlier part of the century, there were only 1, 5% of the population of Christians in Korea, (in 1911), in 2005, there was 20% (about 10 million) of only Protestants Korea. The pastoral leadership and ministry conference, which was held May 19 in the assembly hall SPbCU gathered representatives of the diplomatic structures and religious activities.

The audience was greeted by the rector of SPbCU, Alexander Negrov. The senior pastor of the main Baptist Church, Poklonnaya Gora, Victor K. Sipko, prayed for further fruitful work and interaction of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea.
