SPbCU participation in the annual VIII Holy-Trinity international academic readings 29-31 May 2008
The Conference went for three days and included the following sections:
The dialog of religion and State: Religion and the society of Russia; Birth of a culture of dialog, antiquity and Hellenism; Teologichesky search for the truth of the medieval West; Byzantine
philosophy and theology; Western Christianity in the contemporary world; Theology and Philosophy, the path of dialog; philosophy of religion; Interdisciplinary religious studies.
I.M. Savich, representing St. Petersburg Christian University gave a report named "Search for the truth in questions of origin" In his report he raised the burning issue of origin of life on Earth. In the conclusion of his report, he said: "The man gained access to such depths of the space, the micro world and nature, that only closing our eyes to the obvious, we can speak about accidental origination of open phenomenas and interrelations. The reality of Logos found in the observable physical phenomena through their consistency with the principles of theoretical physics, meaning as the effectiveness of physics in prediction of new facts, and so the effectiveness of mathematical language to describe physical phenomena".
The deeper man enters the universe, the closer he draws to a truth about the existence of the Creator. Maybe man is allowed to do so, in order to convince him of "first hand" of the existence of the Creator.
The only person, who did not engage in the search for truth, was Jesus Christ. He himself was one of absolute truth, which, consciously or unconsciously trying to comprehend hundreds of thousands of philosophers and theologians. He had no doubt and did not built theories, He knew for sure that He "is the way, the truth and the life". He was the cause and an instrument of creation.
One type of mathematical analysis is called cluster analysis. It is based on an assessment of similarities and differences of several signs compared objects. If analyzed objects are more of a similar kind, they are in one cluster.
The sign of our time - is attempts to to make spiritual experience and scientific knowledge closer to each other. The aim must be an unambiguous - the recognition of the priority of God and His law over all creation ".
