During November 15th-22nd, the Head of the Department of Biblical Studies of SPbCU, Valeriy Alikin was on a trip to the USA, where he spoke at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, on "Reconstruction of the practice of the Lord's Supper in the Early Church," which took place in the Biblical Colloquium, which was attended by professors, doctoral students and graduate schools of theology . He was also able to attend lectures and seminary professors familiar with the methods of teaching at the seminary.

During November 18th-22nd, Valeriy also participated in the annual conference of the Society of Biblical Literature, held in San Francisco. This year's conference was held in conjunction with the conference of the American Academy of Religion, and so the conference was attended by more than six thousand Biblical scholars, theologians and Religious scholars from around the world.
Valeriy took part in the seminar "The feasts and banquets in the Greco-Roman world", as well as in many other seminars on exegesis and theology of the New Testament.
