Welcoming our Alumnus as a Member of the Board of Directors
Saint Petersburg Christian University is glad to welcome its alumnus as a new member of the Board of Directors of the University.
Lev is a graduate of the Bachelors of Theology program of the 1996 year. Currently, he is the pastor of "Preobrazhenie" Church in St. Petersburg, and, with his wife, who is also a graduate of SPbCU (Department of Christian Pedagogy 1995), lead family ministries. The geography of this family ministry counts up to various Russian cities and near countries, mostly in the North-western regions, but also in Cheboskariy, Minsk. Lev and Maria have devoted themselves to this already for 12 years. TSaint Petersburg Christian University is glad to welcome its alumnus as a new member of the Board of Directors of the University.

Currently, he is the pastor of "Preobrazhenie" Church in St. Petersburg, and, with his wife, who is also a graduate of SPbCU (Department of Christian Pedagogy 1995), lead family ministries. The geography of this family ministry counts up to various Russian cities and near countries, mostly in the North-western regions, but also in Cheboskariy, Minsk. Lev and Maria have devoted themselves to this already for 12 years. The past 5 years, it has been an official ministry in which they organize conferences, seminars, family consultations, and also teach churches how to start family ministries. Nor do they ignore internet access, where they can receive anonymous personal request for consultation at www.baptist.spb.ru.
In the year of the family, the weekly paper "Arguments and Facts" let out a new project called "Family Encyclopedia". It is a 25 volume edition illustrated family encyclopedia. 16 volumes are dedicated to world history, culture, politics, and way of life. Another 8 were written specifically about Russia - about the most important events, lifestyle, family traditions, and values Russians hold. For their input on family consultation, Lev and Maria Greenfield were included in this encyclopedia.
In his church activities, Lev does many charitable works: helps organize the Christian Children's Camp "Butterfly", helps supports alumni from SPbCU, and joint work with the publishing house "Mirt". Also, Lev Greenfield and his wife host the program "The Family's Arc" on Transworld Radio.
As a member of the Board of Directores, Lev has only recently seen himself. His whole life was based on two poles: theoretical theologicy and practical gospel. He had dedicated much time to academic preparation: studies at SPbCU, first as a bachelor and then a master student, and also he spent much time in the practical sphere: ministry in churches, family ministry. There is a necessity in advancing both spheres, as Lev feels it now. Work as a member of the Board of Directors, as he sees it, should give him answers to questions that are made by the practical gospel.
Lev and Maria Greenfield have 2 daughters, Elenoar (12 years old) and Victoria (4 years old).
