Sergei Brishtel 2006 Graduate

Sergei Brishtel finished his studies in SPbCU in 2006. He is a graduate of Bachelor of Divinity program. Today he lives in the town of Brest in Belarus.

His repentance happened in 1996, but his first meeting with God took place much earlier.
"I was born into a family that has not rejected God. However, my parents did not have the strong desire for Him. My grandmother was a very strong believer. She was a real example for me. Whenever I would come to visit her, I saw her unfamiliar (to me) attitude towards life. My grandmother was not able to tell a lot about God, however, her life was a real testimony of how God transforms human life. Looking at her actions, hearing her words and watching her habits - I felt thirsty for God. I wanted to experience life like hers. Her faith was a source of strength, patience and wisdom. Through my grandmother I first became acquainted with an Old and New Testaments.

Thanks to her diligence, I started going to church. In her house were my first conscious prayers ".

One year after repentance, Sergei was baptized, which became a turning point in his life, because from that time he began to take an active part in the life of the church and preach regularly. In 2000 Sergei married. His wife's name is Catherine and they have a son who is now 4 years old.

In 2002, Sergei entered the SPbCU. Shortly before the end of his training Sergei received an invitation from Trans-World Radio of Belarus to participate in their ministry. After graduation from SPbCU he moved with his wife to Brest and began to work there. Also Sergei is a deacon at the church "Rebirth".

"God gives the realization that my knowledge, gained at SPbCU, can be useful for others too. This is how I see in the church practice, and in the ministry of Christian radio. All that knowledge now serves as a good tool for me and helps me to work with Biblical text and preparing radio broadcasts. "  Today, Sergei is asking to pray for him and his wife, that God would give them wisdom in raising their child, and in everyday life and ministry.
