Research interests:
The study of church history and theology throws us an
intellectual challenge. Theological knowledge is
not only good “aid” in the service of God and the church, but also an
uncompromising "stimulus" for our traditional, static, tending to the
ritual, theological vision of "formulas" in their unaltered form. After
all, the theologians of the early church were bold experimenters and
innovators. "The faith once delivered unto
the saints", they nonetheless were able to look at the original
intelligent questions of their opponents, expressing the belief in new and
fresh forms. It is important not just mechanically memorize and repeat
theology, but, truly realizing the content of Christian theology to lead, to
pass the message of Christ's church a new way in our new and changing world.
This spirit can grasp learning milestones Christian history and theology,
starting with the period of early church writers and ending period of the
Reformation, and modern thinkers in the evangelical theological space and
outside the fence of our Protestant tradition.
